Focus points for a massive wood cooker are: |
 |
 |
1) A decent
foundation
Wood cookers vary in their weight between 680 to
approximately 1500 kg. Naturally the carrying-capacity of the
floor must be sufficient to carry this warm mass. In some cases
a new foundation needs to be build or the floor needs to be
fortified. If you're unsure if your foundation can carry the
weight of the cooker, feel free to contact us. |
2) A functioning chimney
The exhaust-gasses created in the wood cooker need to exit
through a functioning chimney. The chimney can be brick-layered
or made of twin wall insulated stainless steel elements. The
average chimney diameter is 150 or 180 mm.
For many years we've worked with the Metaloterm chimneys by

We suggest that all chimney-canals are inspected and cleaned at
least once a year. |
